A Chicago woman has been left looking like a character from Monsters Inc after undergoing a lip blushing procedure. Daisy, a realtor, shared her swollen lips on TikTok, where she was compared to Fungus from the Disney Pixar film.
The cosmetic procedure, which uses a device similar to a tattoo gun, inks the lips to create a semi-permanent colour lasting two to four years. While swelling is common for a few days post-treatment, Daisy was shocked by the extent of her reaction.
In her video, Daisy covers her lips before revealing the dramatic results, laughing as she says: 'I have never seen my lips like this.' She jokes that she 'can't even laugh' and admits she was 'almost too embarrassed to post this.'
Commenters on TikTok were quick to draw comparisons to Monsters Inc, with one writing: 'That one monster after getting that screaming lip job from Monsters Inc.' Another asked: 'Have you seen Monsters Inc?' Despite the mockery, some viewers expressed interest in the procedure, with one saying: 'I wanna get mines done.'
Daisy, who paid between $500 and $800 for the treatment, confirms it is 'definitely not filler' and says she never 'thought there would be that much swelling.'
