Ford Motor Company fans are only just noticing a subtle detail in the iconic blue and white logo that has been there for over a century. The logo, featuring the word 'Ford' in cursive, has a small curl on the second stem of the letter 'F' that many people swear does not exist.
TikTok user Monica Turner sparked debate by showing two versions of the logo—one with the curl and one without. She revealed that the official logo has always included the curl, despite many commenters being convinced otherwise. A former Ford truck mechanic clarified that the curl is part of the copyrighted logo, while the version without it is often used on merchandise.
The Ford logo has evolved since the company's founding in 1903. The current design, introduced in 1911, is based on the handwriting of founder Henry Ford, adapted by engineer Childe Harold Wills. Some speculate the curl may represent an 'E' for Henry Ford's son Edsel, who became company president in 1919.
