Rihanna's latest campaign for her lingerie brand Savage x Fenty features Vivian Wilson, the 21-year-old daughter of Elon Musk. Vivian, who came out as trans in 2020, has been publicly estranged from her father since 2022.
The Valentine's Day campaign, titled 'Love So Savage: A Modern Ode to Aphrodite', shows Vivian posing in a red and black floral bra and matching bottoms with red tights, alongside models Emma Arletta and Lovie Simone. Rihanna also appears in solo shots wearing various sets from the collection.
Vivian, who launched her professional modelling career last year, made her New York Fashion Week debut in September. She previously designed a charity shirt for the Trevor Project with Wildfang, marking her first professional campaign.
Vivian officially severed ties with her father in 2022, days after he endorsed Donald Trump for president. She wrote in legal documents: 'I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form.'
In a 2023 interview with Teen Vogue, Vivian said of her father: 'I’m not giving anyone that space in my mind. The only thing that gets to live free in my mind is drag queens.' Her mother, Justine Wilson, praised her as 'fierce' with an 'uncompromising sense' of who she is.
Vivian uses her platform to highlight inequality, noting that being trans 'is not a choice'. She added: 'Obviously, it’s not just trans people that are affected by the current administration... [I’m] really trying to do more advocacy on that front.'
