Accompanied by her husband, Prince Edward, the 60-year-old royal opted for a new maxi skirt, the 'Tatjana' style by Lexy London, featuring a long, floaty cut, tiered silhouette, and cinched waistline.
Sophie paired the pink and green fan-print skirt with a light pink scoop-neck jumper, creating a look that fashion stylist Angela Kyte described as 'effortless elegance'. The outfit was complemented by the 'Nuschi' bag in caramel by Sophie Habsburg and re-worn 'Nodo' earrings by Guilia Barela.
Kyte noted that the duchess 'bridges refinement and approachability', with the soft blush knitwear serving as the foundation for understated femininity. The ensemble, she added, 'conveys quiet luxury with effortless ease' and encapsulates Sophie's style philosophy of being modern, feminine, and approachable.
The outing to the Edinburgh Fringe followed Sophie's meeting with World War II Royal Marines veteran Jim Wren, 105, ahead of the 80th anniversary of VJ Day. For that occasion, she wore a raspberry pink, cream, and khaki geometric dress by Lexy London, which Neslişah Yılmaz, Creative Director of Barrus, said 'nods to timeless mid-century shapes' evoking nostalgia.
