Claudia Winkleman has revealed that her iconic fringe has grown past her eyes during the coronavirus lockdown, as hairdressers across the UK remain closed. The Strictly Come Dancing host, who has maintained her trademark bangs for over a decade, shared a video on Instagram on Wednesday showing her current hair situation.
In the footage, Winkleman said: 'Hello, it's Claudia Winkleman here. I just wanted to check in, I hope you're doing okay.' She continued: 'I just want to say I know we're on lockdown and however much you might be fantasising about seeing your friend who's great at hairdressing, please don't, please stay at home, please stay safe. If you actually genuinely do know how to trim a fringe with an old pair of kitchen scissors, call me. United we stand, together at home.'
Fans offered advice, with one suggesting an Alice band and another sharing a DIY fringe cut video. In a 2018 interview with HELLO!, Winkleman said she hasn't seen her forehead for about 15 years and cannot imagine ever getting rid of her fringe. She also described her hair routine as low-maintenance, washing it only twice a week with shampoo and conditioner.
