Producers of the upcoming Celebrity Traitors have disclosed that host Claudia Winkleman's iconic wardrobe has undergone a 'punk' transformation for the all-star edition. The 53-year-old presenter's style, which became a talking point in previous series, has been elevated to match the glamour of the celebrity contestants.
Executive producer Sarah Fay told Mail Online: 'The celebrities bring it with the fashion a bit this year, coming into the castle with Highland outfits. They raised the game. We had to ensure Claudia could still command the space, as the puppet master overseeing the whole thing. I'd say Claudia looks a bit more punk-rocky this year.'
Fay teased that Winkleman's 'killer boots' in episode one will be a particular talking point. Styled by Sinead McKeefry, who also works with Winkleman on Strictly Come Dancing, the host's moody wardrobe sets the tone for the new series. McKeefry noted that they drew inspiration from Winkleman's celebrated 'funeral' look from last year.
The Celebrity Traitors debuts on Wednesday 8 October on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 9pm, featuring famous faces including Stephen Fry, Alan Carr, Clare Balding, and Jonathan Ross.
