A beauty writer has tested the Beautypro T-bar microcurrent device, priced at £39 from Boots, and found it to be a strong competitor to the NuFace Trinity+, which costs £385. The T-bar claims to deliver 6,000 pulses per minute, compared to NuFace's 504 pulses per minute based on its FDA report.
The device is designed to boost collagen production, aid lymphatic drainage, and reduce puffiness. Skin expert Kimberley Medd from Face the Future noted that tools with vibrations, like the T-bar, can decongest under eyes, minimise dark circles, and improve circulation.
The writer used the T-bar for three weeks, applying it in upward and outward motions on the face, focusing on under eyes, cheeks, and jawline. Each session lasted five to seven minutes, using a face oil for slip. Results included reduced puffiness, improved skin energy, and better absorption of serums.
The T-bar is waterproof, compact, and suitable for wet skin. The writer found it soothing around the eyes and effective for de-puffing the jawline, though it did not eliminate a double chin. Overall, the device was praised for its affordability and performance compared to pricier alternatives.
