Radio and television star Amanda Holden made a bold style statement this week, upstaging even her model daughter as they attended one of fashion's most prestigious nights.

Mother-Daughter Duo Dazzle on the Navy Carpet

The 54-year-old Britain's Got Talent judge commanded attention on the navy carpet at the Fashion Awards, held at the iconic Royal Albert Hall in London on Tuesday. While she was accompanied by her 18-year-old daughter Lexi, who is forging her own path in modelling, it was Amanda's eye-catching ensemble that truly captivated the crowd.

She chose a striking black satin gown featuring a revealing cut-out at the back and a bow-detailed peplum that accentuated her waist. Clearly in her element, Amanda happily twirled for photographers to showcase the daring rear design of the dress, completing the look with a pair of classic patent black Christian Louboutin heels.

Lexi's Modelling Career and University Focus

Lexi Holden, often described as her famous mother's 'mini-me', looked equally sophisticated in a fitted off-the-shoulder satin dress adorned with intricate beading on the skirt. The teenager has attended the prestigious event before with Amanda and made her runway debut in September 2024, walking for designer Fran Hung during London Fashion Week.

Despite her burgeoning career in fashion, Lexi emphasised that her university studies remain a top priority. In a recent interview, she stated: 'I’m just starting out and I’m very focused on Uni and doing a good job. I try to stay focused on simple things, and the things I love doing and surround myself with my friends and family.'

She also heaped praise on her supportive mother, calling her 'kind, smart and fun' and revealing that Amanda has earned the 'cool mum' badge amongst her friends. 'She’s always there to cheer me on and give advice but also lets me find my own path,' Lexi added.

A Glittering Night for Global Fashion

The ceremony, hosted this year by actor Colman Domingo who wore Burberry in a nod to British heritage, is considered a highlight of the fashion calendar. First held in 1989 and originally known as the British Fashion Awards, the event celebrates both household names and emerging talent from across the globe.

After being hosted at venues including the Natural History Museum and the Victoria & Albert Museum, the awards returned to the Royal Albert Hall in 2016 and have remained there since. Over the decades, it has attracted a who's who of fashion and celebrity, from Princess Diana and the Spice Girls to design legends like Vivienne Westwood and Karl Lagerfeld.

For Amanda and Lexi Holden, this year's event provided another memorable red carpet moment, blending family pride with high-fashion glamour.
