Strictly's Chris Robshaw Reveals Wife's Hilarious Reaction to His Dancing - 'She Laughed at Me!'
Chris Robshaw's wife laughs at his Strictly dancing

Former England rugby hero Chris Robshaw has revealed that his journey to the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom is being met with more laughter than applause from his nearest and dearest. The 37-year-old sports star, who was confirmed for the 2024 lineup this week, admitted his wife Camilla Kershaw finds his dancing attempts utterly hilarious.

'She Just Laughs at Me' - The Brutal Home Truth

In an exclusive interview, Robshaw shared the amusing reality of his pre-show preparations. "My wife just laughs at me," he confessed. "I've been trying to practice a few moves around the house, and she finds the whole thing completely entertaining - and not in a good way!"

The Harlequins legend, known for his tough performances on the rugby field, appears to be facing a very different kind of challenge as he trades his rugby boots for dancing shoes.

From Rugby Captain to Dance Floor Rookie

Robshaw, who captained England in two World Cups, acknowledged the stark contrast between his sporting background and his new venture into the world of sequins and salsa. "I'm used to the physical demands of rugby, but this is a completely different type of discipline," he explained.

The athlete, who retired from professional rugby last year, sees Strictly as the perfect opportunity to channel his competitive spirit into something new. "I'm someone who thrives on challenges, and this is probably one of the biggest I've ever faced," he added.

A Supportive - If Amused - Family

Despite the laughter, Robshaw insists his wife Camilla and their young daughter are fully behind his Strictly adventure. "They're both incredibly supportive, even if they do find my dancing funny," he said. "My daughter is at that age where she loves music and movement, so she's particularly excited."

The former sports star joins what promises to be one of Strictly's most exciting lineups yet, with the new series expected to launch in September on BBC One.

As for whether his wife's laughter will turn to impressed applause? Only time - and those all-important judges' scores - will tell.
