Zoe Saldaña has become the highest-grossing actor of all time, surpassing Scarlett Johansson following the success of Avatar: Fire and Ash. According to the Numbers, Saldaña's films have now grossed over $15.46bn worldwide.

The 47-year-old Oscar winner's total was boosted by the latest Avatar instalment, which added more than $1.2bn. Her earnings also include her roles in the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy, Avengers films, Star Trek movies, and the first Pirates of the Caribbean film.

Johansson had previously held the top spot after Jurassic World Rebirth earned $869m worldwide. She also appears in multiple Marvel films. Saldaña's Avatar: Fire and Ash has remained at the domestic No 1 spot since its December release, despite tracking behind earlier franchise films.
