A brainteaser shared on TikTok has left millions of users scratching their heads. The riddle, posted by the channel Sarpercy, reads: 'There is a woman in a boat. On a lake wearing a coat. If you want to know her name, it's on the riddle I just wrote. What is the woman's name?'
Viewers have proposed various answers, including 'There', 'Ona', 'Teresa', and 'Olivia'. One user suggested that 'Ona' is hidden in the phrase 'on a boat', while another argued that 'Teresa' can be extracted from the line 'the riddle I just wrote'. A third claimed the answer is 'There', as the riddle begins with that word.
The riddle's creator states that the confusion is intentional. 'The viral riddle achieves the primary goal of a good short riddle: It leaves you confused and hunting for the solution in places that take you further away from the answer,' a statement reads. 'While 'There' is not a traditional moniker, it serves the purpose of having you swimming for answers in faraway waters.'
Despite the debate, no official answer has been confirmed, leaving the puzzle open to interpretation.
