Stacey Solomon has given fans a first look at her new family home after moving out of 'Pickle Cottage'. The Loose Women star, 36, posted a photo of herself with husband Joe Swash, 44, posing on the front step with their children.
In another image, she held a key in front of the white front door and patterned tiles, captioning the post: “Home is wherever I’m with you… Pickle Project, Here We Go.”
Fans react to the new home
Fans were quick to comment on the glimpse of the new property, with many expressing excitement about the move and the upcoming renovation.
“Can’t wait to watch your new adventures begin here,” one commented, while another wrote: “That entrance hall with those amazing tiles is screaming decorate me for autumn!!”
“Love the grand entrance hall. Can’t wait to see the rest and the renovation whoop xx,” another said, as one user predicted: “Awh! Can’t wait to see the transformation! It’s gonna be good! X.”
Emotional departure from Pickle Cottage
The move has been emotional for the couple, who share children Rex, Rose and Belle. Joe is also father to Harry from a previous relationship, while Stacey shares Zachary and Leighton with her ex.
The former X Factor star had previously described Pickle Cottage in Essex as her 'dream home', but the family has now relocated somewhere 'really, really different'. The location of the new house has not been confirmed, though it has been reported that they have swapped the cottage for a £2million countryside mansion.
According to insiders, the property has eight bedrooms and six reception rooms, along with gardens and a swimming pool.
Earlier this week, Stacey said a heartfelt goodbye to their family home on Instagram, posting a video of memories made there.
“Thank You & Goodbye Pickle Cottage,” she wrote. “A little montage of some of the best years of our lives… We will forever be grateful for the last 5 years at Pickle. What a special place & how lucky we’ve been to have lived there. Memories that will last forever…
“Wishing all of the love & happiness to the new family who get to love pickle cottage. And here’s to the next chapter…”
Announcing the move
In another clip, the couple announced their next chapter. Joe began: "Well, I tell you, she's been thinking about how she's going to say this, when she's going to say it, how people are going to feel about it."
Stacey interjected: "I don't even know why. Because it's how am I going to feel about it. So we are leaving Pickle Cottage. We're moving out of Pickle Cottage, which I knew I never ever thought I would say - and imminently!
"The reason we haven't said anything up until this point is because anyone who's ever moved knows what it's like. You don't know if it's going to happen until it actually happens."
She added: "Leaving Pickle Cottage was a massive decision for us, so we had a lot of people we needed to speak to, we needed to get the kids around to the idea, we needed to speak to all of our lovely neighbours, our lovely friends in the area…
"Even the thought of selling Pickle Cottage felt like it would be impossible if everyone knew we were selling Pickle Cottage. Does that make sense? So we've just waited until someone amazing came along and fell in love with Pickle Cottage."
