Paddy Young, a comedian from Sky's Saturday Night Live UK, has revealed he was injured in a freak accident involving a samurai sword. The 34-year-old shared the news on social media, posting photos from his hospital bed and throughout his recovery.
Details of the Incident
Young wrote: "Cut my finger with a samurai sword!" He thanked Bebe Ed Horatio for nursing him back to health and Sam for bringing the sword to his home and then fleeing when he fainted. In a humorous tone, he added: "Fringe run 90% sold out. Tendon 90% lacerated. Aura 100% lost. Tour selling fast – see u there."
Recovery and Fan Reactions
Despite his entire left hand being bandaged, Young was all smiles in hospital photos. He also posed with concerned friends while wearing a sling. Fans flooded the comments with well-wishes. One wrote: "Nooooooooooo!!!!! Hope you will feel better soon, Paddy." Another said: "Man, those compression socks are the worst! Get well soon, Paddy." A third commented: "This is a very chill response to a friend causing you to lose the use of your hand."
Will Farrell, director of SNL UK, joked: "Sam told me he thought the sword wouldn’t have cut you if you were honourable."
