The event, held at the luxurious Hotel Shangri-La on Wednesday, saw the 79-year-old actress reunite with her co-stars to promote the third instalment in James Cameron's epic sci-fi franchise. Weaver, who returns as the teenage Na'vi Kiri, made a sophisticated statement in a chic black and white tweed pantsuit, pairing the jacket with a turtleneck, tailored trousers, and classic loafers.
She was joined on the distinctive black carpet by Zoe Saldana, 47, who reprises her role as warrior Neytiri. Saldana cut a fashion-forward figure in a plunging, oversized cropped leather jacket with dramatic puff sleeves, which she accessorised with a gold belt and hoops.
Oona Castilla Chaplin, 39, who plays the new antagonist Varang, commanded attention in a striking red floor-length turtleneck jumpsuit with wide bell sleeves, her hair styled in a long plait. The male cast members also brought their style A-game. Stephen Lang, 73, looked dapper in a cream roll-neck and navy coat, while leading man Sam Worthington, 49, opted for a smart-casual black blazer and T-shirt combination.

The new film, slated for release on 19 December 2025, continues the story of Jake Sully and Neytiri's family as they grapple with the grief of losing their eldest son. The narrative will introduce a formidable new tribe, the Ash People, led by Chaplin's character Varang, promising to shift the moral perspective of the series.
Director James Cameron, 71, who was also in attendance, has teased that this chapter will show a different side to the Na'vi. "I want to show the Na'vi from another angle because, so far, I have only shown their good sides," he explained. He indicated that Avatar 3 would present more complex, negative Na'vi examples, inverting the dynamic of the earlier films.
