Premier League star Ruben Dias has reportedly reignited his romance with actress Daniela Melchior after splitting from Love Island host Maya Jama. The Manchester City defender, 29, is said to have made contact with his model ex-flame following the end of his relationship with Jama in April.
New beginnings
According to reports, Dias was cheered on by Melchior as he played for Portugal in their 2-1 warm-up victory over Chile. The pair had already been spotted together at a Portugal music festival last month, sparking rumors of a reconciliation.
Melchior, best known for her role in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, was first linked to Dias in January 2024. They were later seen dancing at an Ibiza club that summer, but their romance never fully blossomed.
Previous relationship
Dias met Maya Jama at the MTV European Music Awards in Manchester in November 2024. By Christmas, the couple had moved into his Cheshire mansion, valued at approximately £4 million. However, in April 2025, they reached a crossroads and decided to part ways.
Speaking at the time, Jama said: 'Truth is even when I tried to keep my relationships private we get photographed anyway. I'm an all or nothing girl, I don't casually date, so yes I will love loudly or not at all and if it ends it ends. I decided a long time ago not to base personal life decisions on public opinions.'
Dias denied any infidelity, writing online: 'The reasons why we broke up are private and belong to us and we've both dealt with it in a very mature way. Respect me, respect Maya, and understand that not always one has to betray the other in order for a relationship to end.'
The footballer's reported reunion with Melchior suggests he has moved on quickly from the high-profile split.
