The Duchess of Sussex has offered fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse into her weekend trip to Paris for Fashion Week via an Instagram reel. The video shows Meghan enjoying a portion of frites and brushing up on her French language skills on the Duolingo app, where she has a 100-day streak.
Meghan, 44, made a surprise appearance at a Balenciaga show, mingling with guests including Anna Wintour, Anne Hathaway, and Baz Luhrmann. She wore a white oversized button-through ensemble with a cape, paired with a black suede Balenciaga bag and £745 Balenciaga Knife heels.
The Duchess stayed at the luxurious Hôtel Plaza Athénée in Paris, part of the Dorchester group, where suites cost thousands of pounds a night. Her Instagram reel showed her arrival, a breakfast of bacon and croissants, and her style squad helping her prepare for the event.
Meghan, who studied French for six years but said in 2016 she had lost fluency, has been re-learning the language. A spokesperson told PEOPLE that she has long admired Balenciaga's craftsmanship and has collaborated with the brand on designs for key moments.
