Nicola Walker’s ‘Alice And Steve’ Gets June Release Date On Disney+

Disney+ has confirmed that Alice and Steve, a new comedy-drama starring Nicola Walker and Jemaine Clement, will premiere on 8 June as a box set. The six-part series, described by the streamer as “outrageously witty”, centres on the friendship-turned-feud between the two titular characters.

The official synopsis reveals that Alice (Walker) is devastated when her best friend Steve (Clement) begins dating her 26-year-old daughter Izzy (Yali Topol Margalith). Alice tries everything to end the relationship, but Steve is ready for the attack, and what begins as a perfect friendship devolves into an all-out feud.

Billed as an “anti-romantic comedy”, the show explores friendship, family and love, posing the question: how far would you go for love – or revenge? Created and written by Sophie Goodhart (Sex Education, Rivals), the cast also includes Joel Fry, Marcia Warren, Eilidh Fisher, Ebony Aboagye and Sam Chapman.
