Netflix has confirmed that the fifth season of 'The Lincoln Lawyer' will be its last. The legal drama, currently in production on its final 10-episode installment, will conclude with a storyline based on Michael Connelly's novel 'Resurrection Walk'.
Series creators Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez said in a joint statement: 'All good things must come to an end, but thankfully sometimes how they come to an end is up to us. From the very beginning, the mission was always not only to tell the story of Mickey Haller and his compatriots, but also to give that story a proper conclusion.'
The fifth season sees Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia Rulfo) take on a habeas petition to free a wrongfully convicted woman, while his half-sister Emi (Cobie Smulders) enters his life. The season will explore blood ties and buried secrets, with Mickey's team facing high-profile challenges.
Netflix also announced six new recurring guest stars for the final season: Amy Aquino as Judge Olivia Alcott, Angela Trimbur as Felicia, Elpidia Carillo as Muriel Perez, Nate Corddry as Jimmy Finch, Tricia Helfer as Brooke Miller, and Keir O'Donnell as DDA Lucas Peralta.
David E. Kelley created the series, with Humphrey, Rodriguez, Connelly, Ross Fineman, Barry Jossen, Tana Jamieson and Matthew J Lieberman executive producing. A+E Studios produces the show.
