ITV's Grace concluded its sixth season last weekend, leaving fans eager for more gripping crime drama. Fortunately, a new series has arrived on Netflix that is perfect for those missing the show.
Prey: A Binge-Worthy Crime Drama
Prey is a two-season crime drama that originally aired in 2014. The series follows Detective Sergeant Susan Reinhardt, played by Rosie Cavaliero, as she investigates officers who go on the run after being accused of crimes.
The first season stars John Simm, known for his role as DS Roy Grace in ITV's Grace, as DS Marcus Farrow. Farrow is a police officer trying to clear his name after the murders of his wife and son. The second season features Philip Glenister, another Life on Mars alum, as prison officer David Murdoch, who is blackmailed into helping an inmate escape to protect his kidnapped pregnant daughter.
Star-Studded Cast
Rosie Cavaliero, who plays DS Susan Reinhardt, has appeared in Funny Woman, The Power of Parker, and Channel 4's A Woman of Substance. John Simm is also known for his roles in Life on Mars, Crime, The Catch, and I, Jack Wright. Philip Glenister has starred in Bergerac, ITV's The Lady, Belgravia, After the Flood, and the Life on Mars sequel Ashes to Ashes.
Both seasons of Prey were released on Netflix on Sunday, April 26, and have earned a perfect 100% Rotten Tomatoes score. Fans have praised the series, with one IMdB reviewer calling it "relentless" and "well worth watching." Another fan described it as "action-packed with twists and turns," while a third said it is "gripping from start to finish."
Prey is available to stream on Netflix now.
