Netflix's new gritty crime drama 'Nemesis' has arrived, featuring actors from Grey's Anatomy and Snowpiercer. The eight-episode series, created by Courtney A Kemp of 'Power' fame, premiered on May 14.
The story follows Detective Isaiah Stiles, played by Matthew Law, who suspects respected businessman Coltrane Wilder (Y'Ian Noel) of being a criminal mastermind. Stiles, described as the 'personification of anger', is driven by a harrowing past. Law is known for his role in 'Abbott Elementary', while Noel appeared in 'Insecure' and 'The First Purge'.
Gabrielle Dennis plays Dr Candace Stiles, a therapist married to the detective, while Cleopatra Coleman portrays Ebony Wilder, Coltrane's wife involved in their covert operations. Moe Irvin, known from 'Grey's Anatomy', plays Stiles' father Amos, a former gang legend. Sophina Brown appears as Charlie, Ebony's half-sister and crime broker.
Ariana Guerra plays Yvette, Stiles' partner, and Stephanie Sigman portrays Harper, a seasoned LAPD officer. Mike O'Malley, from 'Snowpiercer', takes on the role of Detective Rick Viggiano. The series explores the lengths each man will go to destroy the other in their quest for self-preservation.
