A Heartwarming Red Carpet Reunion
In a display of genuine affection, Natalie Portman and director Rebecca Zlotowski shared an incredibly close moment during their reunion on the red carpet. The event was the premiere of the French mystery thriller Vie Privée in Paris on Thursday.
The actress, 44, who attended specifically to support her friend, appeared in high spirits as she warmly embraced the 45-year-old filmmaker. Portman was seen leaning her head against Zlotowski's before planting a sweet kiss on her cheek in front of the awaiting cameras ahead of the film's screening.
Style and Celebration on the Red Carpet
For her stylish outing, Natalie cut a chic figure in a black knit mini dress that featured long sleeves, gold-buttoned cuffs, and a flared skirt. She expertly teamed the look with sheer black tights and stylish black leather knee-high boots, while sweeping her brunette tresses into a sleek bun.
Meanwhile, Rebecca Zlotowski looked equally polished in a brown blazer paired with matching trousers and a crisp white shirt. The French director appeared absolutely thrilled to have Natalie by her side, wrapping her arms around the star for several affectionate photographs.
The celebration turned playful when Zlotowski not only planted a kiss on Portman's cheek but also cheekily lifted the actress off the ground as they larked around for the cameras on the red carpet.
The Film and Personal Lives
Vie Privée, scheduled for release this month, is a French mystery thriller directed and co-written by Zlotowski. The film boasts an impressive cast including Jodie Foster alongside Daniel Auteuil, Virginie Efira, Mathieu Amalric, Vincent Lacoste, and Luana Bajrami.
The movie's plot follows renowned psychiatrist Lilian Steiner, portrayed by Jodie Foster, as she launches her own investigation into the death of one of her patients—a case she becomes convinced was murder.
Natalie's appearance at the premiere comes after she was recently spotted enjoying a romantic stroll with her boyfriend, Tanguy Destable, in a rare sighting last month. The Oscar winner went public with the French music producer, 44, in March, following the finalisation of her divorce from Benjamin Millepied last year after 11 years of marriage.
The split from Millepied, a choreographer she met on the set of Black Swan in 2009, came after he allegedly cheated on the actress with a woman 21 years his junior. According to sources, Natalie isn't surprised that Benjamin has moved on and hopes he's happy, noting that his dating life doesn't really have any bearing on her life as she's been prioritising family and friends.
