A period drama featuring Sheridan Smith and Daniel Mays is storming Netflix's top 10 rankings, over a decade after its original broadcast. The five-episode series, Mrs Biggs, originally aired on ITV in 2012 and has recently resurfaced on the streaming service.
Written by Jeff Pope, the show chronicles the true story of Charmian Biggs, wife of infamous Great Train Robber Ronnie Biggs. Sheridan Smith portrays Charmian, while Daniel Mays plays Ronnie. Smith won a BAFTA for Best Actress for her performance, which critics hailed as among her finest.
