Love Island star Biggs Chris and his girlfriend Summer have announced they are expecting their first child together. The couple, who have been together for around two and a half years, shared the news with fans on Instagram last month, describing their unborn baby as a 'little blessing'.
In an exclusive interview with the Mirror, the pair, both 31, revealed that while the pregnancy was not planned, they are 'over the moon' and 'absolutely buzzing'. Biggs admitted he initially thought Summer was playing a prank when she showed him the positive pregnancy tests. 'I was just in shock. I was speechless, but I was happy,' he said.
The couple have already shared the news with their Love Island friends. Biggs revealed that Lucie Donlan 'cried' upon hearing the news, while Wes Nelson promised to spoil the baby. Other Islanders, including Shaq Muhammad and Toby Aromolaran, sent their congratulations. Biggs' ex-girlfriend Rebecca Gormley also got in touch, contacting his mother to pass on her best wishes.
Biggs and Summer are now planning a gender reveal party in Scotland, which they describe as a 'swanky' event with 'quite a few known faces' on the guestlist. Biggs joked that he hopes Wes Nelson will perform at the bash. The couple have already had a scan to determine the baby's sex but are waiting until the party in August to find out. Only Biggs' mother, Sandra Chris, knows the secret and is tasked with keeping it under wraps until the big day.
