Lily Allen headlined this year's Mighty Hoopla festival in London's Brockwell Park, performing her latest album in full. The West End Girl star delivered a theatrical set that chronicled the collapse of a relationship, from the triumph of marriage to a shattering phone call requesting an open relationship. Some fans were disappointed not to hear hits like 'Smile' and 'The Fear', but the performance was perfectly suited to the camp, colourful atmosphere.
The festival, now bigger and better than ever, featured a host of stellar performances. Pop duo Appleton—sisters Nicole and Natalie, formerly of All Saints—gave their first full set in 23 years, with crystalline vocals on Noughties classics. They were joined by Sugababes' Heidi Range for a euphoric rendition of 'Round Round'. MNEK delivered a career-encompassing set, while JLS had the crowd screaming along to their 2009 hit 'Everybody in Love'.
Other highlights included a surprise appearance from Australia's Delta Goodrem, who performed her 2026 song 'Eclipse' with dramatic pyrotechnics. However, Todrick Hall's set was deemed tedious, and Jessie J's monologues drew bored chatter from the audience. The festival also offered inclusive spaces, including a welfare area and a sensory tent, reinforcing its reputation as the UK's most inclusive pop celebration.
