Emily McEnroe, daughter of tennis icon John McEnroe, has landed a role in Larry David's new comedy sketch series. The 35-year-old shared behind-the-scenes snaps on Instagram, revealing she appears in episode 6 of 'Life, Larry & the Pursuit of Unhappiness' on HBO Max.
A Family of Entertainers
Emily follows in the footsteps of her mother, Tatum O'Neal, an actress, and her father, who narrated the Netflix series 'Never Have I Ever'. This is not her first collaboration with Larry David; she previously appeared in an episode of 'Curb Your Enthusiasm'.
In her Instagram post, Emily wrote: "What a privilege to share a table with comedy heroes. I cried laughing & had the best of times. Catch me Ep 6 on 'Life, Larry & the Pursuit of Unhappiness.'" She posed in three different ballgowns and showed her trailer, crediting her as 'female dinner guest'.
McEnroe's Public Warning to Fiance
Emily is engaged to Francesco Timothy Massarelli and is due to marry next year. During the Australian Open in January, McEnroe, on commentary for ESPN, gave a shoutout to the couple. He said: "I am going to say hello to my daughter, Emily. You know why? Because she got engaged to a guy by the name of Francesco Timothy Massarelli."
He then issued a stern warning: "Mr. Massarelli, hello. Something very good about those Italians, Italian Americans! You better be good to my daughter." Emily recorded the moment and shared it on her Instagram story.
Family Ties to Tennis
The couple got engaged last year and attended the Indian Wells tournament in March. Emily has also performed at the event, joining her father's band, The Johnny Smyth Band, to play 'Zombie' last year.
