Marlow Murder Club Confirms Fourth Series for 2027

The Marlow Murder Club, the U&Original detective drama adapted by Death in Paradise creator Robert Thorogood, has been officially renewed for a fourth series. The six-episode season is set to air in 2027, with filming scheduled to begin in Marlow and the surrounding area.

James Bond star Samantha Bond will return as Judith Potts, alongside Cara Horgan as Becks Starling, Jo Martin as Suzie Harris, and Natalie Dew as DI Tanika Malik. Beloved cast members Holli Dempsey, Phill Langhorne, and Tijan Sarr are also confirmed to reprise their roles.

The new series will feature three murder mysteries. The first involves a body found in the river linked to the Marlow Amateur Dramatics Society and a homegrown Hollywood star. The second story explores a man's sudden death at his mother's wake, suspected to be an allergic reaction. The third mystery sees the co-owner of a vineyard found dead, drowned in his own wine.

Episodes one and two, adapted from Thorogood's novel Murder on the Marlow Belle, will be written by Thorogood. Amy Reith will write episodes three and four, while Thorogood and Reith will collaborate on episodes five and six.

Masterpiece Head of Scripted Content Susanne Simpson praised the series, saying: 'The Marlow Murder Club has quickly become one of our most popular Mystery! series.' Executive producers Alison Owen and Debra Hayward added: 'We're delighted to be back in Marlow for a fourth time, bringing three more murder mysteries to one of the most picturesque towns in England.'
