Long Lost Family Sisters Receive Devastating News from Davina McCall
Long Lost Family Sisters Get Devastating News from Davina McCall

Two sisters who were reunited by ITV's Long Lost Family: Born Without a Trace in 2022 have been given devastating news in a follow-up episode. Natasha Carr and her sister Lee-Ann learned that their biological father has died, but that their birth mother is alive and wants to meet them.

Reunited Sisters Learn of Father's Death

Natasha Carr was abandoned at St Thomas's Hospital in Lambeth when she was one week old in 1989. She was fostered and later adopted at the age of two. She asked the ITV show for help tracing her biological family. While her parents could not be found, the show revealed she had a sister, Lee-Ann, who is 18 months older.

Lee-Ann was also a foundling, left in the staff toilets at St James's Hospital in Balham when she was a few days old. Both sisters had similar experiences of abandonment.

Davina McCall Delivers the News

In Monday evening's episode (August 24) of Long Lost Family: What Happened Next, the team searched for more relatives. They discovered that the sisters' father had died a few years ago after battling cancer. Davina McCall told the sisters the news off-camera, saying: "I'm on my way to give Natasha and Lee-Ann major information; sadly, their birth father has died, which we've told them away from the cameras."

Davina also revealed that their birth mother had been found alive. She added: "She's still alive, and she would really like the chance to meet them and to start building a relationship."

Sisters Discover More Family

The sisters learned that their father was born and raised in Jamaica until he was 14. Lee-Ann shared: "It's really interesting to know our background and where we come from and who we are. That's what started my journey, I wanted to know what flag."

The siblings also discovered their biological mother had more children, which left them stunned. Lee-Ann was comforted by Natasha as Davina confirmed their mum wished to reunite. Later in the episode, Natasha revealed she had met her birth mum while Lee-Ann was still processing the news.
