Strictly Come Dancing favourite La Voix, whose birth name is Christopher Dennis, has reportedly landed another major BBC role. The drag performer is set to appear in EastEnders as part of the soap's Pride month celebrations.
Queen Vic Performance Planned
According to reports, La Voix will feature in a performance at the Queen Vic pub as part of Walford's LGBTQ+ festivities, which are due to broadcast later this month. The appearance marks another significant television opportunity for the performer following her breakthrough on Strictly Come Dancing.
The RuPaul's Drag Race star shares a close friendship with actress Harriet Thorpe, who portrays Elaine Peacock, the pub's previous landlady.
Source Confirms Casting
A source told The Sun: "Since starring on Strictly last year, La Voix has absolutely been the Beeb's top pick, helping them host events and even announcing the UK's scores for Eurovision. So when there was discussion about a drag queen performing at Walford Pride, there was only ever one option. La Voix was absolutely thrilled to be asked and bosses hope viewers enjoy the fun Pride special."
Eurovision Role
Last month, La Voix participated in the Eurovision Song Contest as the UK's spokesperson, announcing the jury scores via video link. She said following the announcement: "I'm absolutely over the moon to be announcing the UK Jury scores at Eurovision 2026. It's the one night where sequins are en masse, key changes are compulsory, and absolutely anything can happen – so naturally I feel right at home. I'll do my best to behave... but no promises!"
Previous UK spokespersons have included Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Joanna Lumley.
Strictly Hosting Speculation
La Voix's Eurovision appointment followed speculation linking her to a potential hosting role on Strictly alongside Emma Willis. However, the BBC selected Josh Widdicombe and Johannes Radebe for the positions instead.
Upcoming Strictly Line-Up
The line-up for this year's Strictly Come Dancing has started to emerge, with Lacey Turner, Delta Goodrem, and Dani Dyer among the confirmed participants.
