Kelvin Fletcher has been criticised after sharing a video of his young children driving his Land Rover Defender on their family farm. The former Emmerdale star, 38, posted the footage on Instagram on Tuesday, showing his son Milo, three, and daughter Marnie, five, taking turns behind the wheel without seatbelts.
The video, filmed in a snowy field, shows Milo driving the two-ton vehicle before Marnie climbs from the back seat while the car is in motion. Fletcher captioned the post with '#startemyoung' and 'a different kind of homework'.
Fans expressed concern, with comments including 'No seatbelts. Soo dangerous' and 'Very dangerous. Not a good idea.' UK law does not restrict minors driving on private land, but safety advocates have urged caution.
Fletcher and his wife Liz live on a 120-acre farm in the Peak District with their four children, including twin sons born in April. The family stars in the BBC show Kelvin's Big Farming Adventure.
