Junior Andre Defends London Underground Job Despite Music Career
Junior Andre on London Underground Job and Engagement Rumours

Junior Andre, the son of pop star Peter Andre and former model Katie Price, has opened up about his decision to work on the London Underground to finance his music career. In an exclusive interview, the 20-year-old singer also addressed speculation that he is engaged to his girlfriend, Jasmine Orr, 25.

Working on the Underground

Junior revealed that he took a job on the London Underground to fund his passion for music, despite his famous parents. He explained: 'My dad was brought up very strict, so regardless of anything, he says, “You’ve got to work, son.” As much as he’s there for me, and my mum is there for me, I don’t want handouts. I need to learn life the proper way. So when things got hard, instead of sitting there doing nothing, I was like, “I need to do what I’ve got to do.” I threw myself in at the deep end, but I never gave up on my dream. It made me understand the value of money and grafting.'

He added: 'People still say, “You’ve never done a day’s hard work in your life”, and I’m like, “I have!”'

Relationship with Jasmine Orr

Junior and Jasmine, who have been together for some time, have recently moved in together. Jasmine described Junior as 'the best' boyfriend, saying he is 'respectful, down to earth, always there for me.' Junior said: 'I tell her every day she’s beautiful. She’s the best and I appreciate her. I feel like growing up, the life that I’ve had, it’s been really hard to trust people and know people’s real intentions and fully open my heart and be me. Jasmine allows me to do that. She loves me for me.'

When asked about annoying habits, Jasmine noted that Junior is still learning independent living, adding: 'I noticed that you opened the dishwasher yesterday, saw it was clean…and closed it.' Junior admitted: 'It’s mad everything you have to do when you move out. You take for granted what your parents do for you.'

Future Plans

Junior and Jasmine both expressed openness to more TV presenting opportunities, with Junior stating: 'I want to do more presenting stuff definitely.' Jasmine added: 'Something like Aftersun would be really fun.' However, they are not rushing into marriage or children. Junior said: 'I get scared if I think about kids, marriage, because we’re not there. There’s so much more we want to do before we think about that stuff.'

Junior also emphasized his commitment to music and mental health awareness, particularly for men. He said: 'I’d like to think I’d be financially stable. I’d be a proper music artist that is respected in the industry. I’d like to do more with mental health awareness – particularly men’s mental health. I feel like a lot of men don’t speak up enough.'

Family Support

Junior credited his father for teaching him to remain humble and grounded. He said: 'Always remain humble, grounded, be respectful and spread love and positivity.' Jasmine added that she has bonded well with Junior's family, describing them as 'calm and full of love.'
