James Norton, known for his role in Happy Valley, is set to star in a new high-stakes thriller from Guy Ritchie, the creator of The Gentlemen. The film, titled Wife and Dog, will explore the “cut-throat world of the British aristocracy”.
Cast and plot details
Wife and Dog will follow the “relentless greed of the wealthy Fairbank family and their associates”, with the official synopsis teasing: “Their ruthless ambition triggers a deadly battle for succession, inheritance and corporate control, leading to betrayal and murder.”
Norton will appear alongside Hollywood stars including Anthony Hopkins, Rosamund Pike and Benedict Cumberbatch. The film is scheduled for release on Thursday, February 19, 2027.
Norton's other projects
Norton has recently been seen in House of the Dragon, where he played Lord Ormund Hightower, cousin of Dowager Queen Alicent Hightower. His character was fatally stabbed in the series three finale.
He is also working on a four-film Beatles biopic, in which he will play manager Brian Epstein. Wife and Dog will premiere in cinemas on Thursday, February 19, 2027.
