Former Liverpool striker Michael Owen has invited fans into his life with the new Prime Video series Meet the Owens. The six-part docuseries landed on the streaming platform on Friday and explores the family's life at home, from their horse racing business to everyday routines.
A Year in the Life of the Owen Family
The series follows a year in the life of Michael and his wife Louise, along with their four children: Gemma, 23; James, 20; Emily, 18; and Jessica, 15. It explores eldest daughter Gemma's journey as she trains to become a jockey, while Emily hopes to be the first Owen to go to university.
The family live in a Grade II listed home near Mold and Northop in Flintshire, Wales. Michael purchased the £4m estate in 2001 and previously gave a glimpse into the property when he appeared on ITV's Through The Keyhole in 2019.
The £4m Estate and Its Grounds
The 42 acres surrounding the country home feature stables for his racehorses, two cottages, two flats, a coach house and three greenhouses. The grounds also host a mini golf course, a mini football pitch and a huge children's play area.
The reception and lounge area features traditional wooden panels, oak wooden flooring and oak accents. The Welsh house boasts an open plan kitchen with a silver and black colour screen, contrasting with the wooden beams.
During an episode of Through the Keyhole, host Keith Lemon visited the private gym, heated indoor swimming pool and hot tub. The mansion also includes a games room and cocktail bar themed around football and Michael's career.
Football Memorabilia and Family Life
It features signed Liverpool, Manchester United and England shirts mounted on the wall, with footballs decorating the bar. Michael often shares photos from inside the home to his Instagram followers. At Christmas time, he shared a family photo from the living room, where the brown leather sofa is decorated with cushions featuring a pattern of horse races.
The ex-footballer has also built a successful second career as the owner and operator of Manor House Stables, which he founded in 2006. The yard spans 170 acres, employs over 40 staff members, and trains around 130 to 145 elite thoroughbred racehorses.
It has been a busy year for the family, as Gemma made her jockey debut. After training at Manor House Stables, the former Love Island star finished fourth in the Markel Magnolia Cup at Goodwood Racecourse on July 30, 2026. Meanwhile, Gemma's younger sister Emily received her A level results this summer and will be heading to university to study sports psychology.

All six episodes of Meet the Owens will be available to stream exclusively on Prime Video from August 28, 2026 in the UK and Ireland.
