The new series of Love Island is set to return on 4 June on ITV2, with 11 singletons heading to a villa in Majorca in search of love. The lineup includes a West End performer, a personal trainer, an A&E doctor, and the daughter of EastEnders star Danny Dyer.
Last year's finale drew the channel's biggest ever audience, and the show won a Bafta for best reality show earlier this month. Among the contestants is Laura, Danny Dyer's daughter, who says she is looking for someone genuine and enjoys heart-to-hearts. Her biggest turn-off is cringeworthy chat-up lines.
Alex, an A&E doctor, admits some may think he is crazy for going on the show given his profession, but he sees it as a great opportunity. Wes, a personal trainer, already has a large Instagram following and is seeking someone to settle down with. Niall, a former boyband member of EverYoung, is nervous about being voted off first.
Other contestants include Kendall, who recently ended a five-year engagement and is ready to date again, and a West End performer who has appeared in Mamma Mia and Dreamgirls. The full lineup promises drama and romance as they compete for love and a cash prize.
