A mother from Bury believes she has captured a ghostly hand in a holiday photo taken at Dovestones Reservoir in Manchester in 2011. Rhynnice Trelfa, 28, was enjoying a picnic with friends and family when they posed for a group picture by the lake. Years later, she noticed what appears to be a dismembered hand on a wall in the image.
The same day the photo was taken, a woman's body was discovered at the same location, which has a history of tragic deaths. Trelfa said she was 'terrified' when she first spotted the hand, describing it as an 'unexplainable phenomenon' that gave her goosebumps and made her cry.
Paranormal experts who examined the photo suggested the hand may belong to a departed female relative of Trelfa's former partner, who is standing in front of it in the picture. Trelfa noted that another photo taken seconds later shows no sign of the hand.
The mother-of-one took to social media to seek explanations, and was contacted by mediums who claimed the hand had a connection to her child's father. She now believes the soul in the photo is linked to her family in some way.
Dovestones Reservoir has a dark history, with multiple deaths occurring there over the years. Trelfa's discovery adds to the eerie reputation of the site.
