Elevate85: The World's Highest Travelling Ride
New images reveal the impressive Elevate85, which is not for the faint-hearted. This high-flying experience is described as the world's tallest travelling ride, standing at 85 metres. It surpasses last year's newcomer, the 80-metre Drop Tower, by five metres. The ride's name reflects its height, offering breathtaking views for those brave enough to take the plunge.
Fairground Preparations and Restrictions
Due to drainage work at the north end of the moor, this year's fair will occupy a smaller area than usual. However, organisers promise more than 400 attractions, representing the full range of the usual programme with less duplication. The Giant Wheel will again take a central position. Photographs and video from Tuesday show the site is well advanced, with preparations continuing until opening day on June 19.
Event Details
The Hoppings will run for nine days, from June 19 to June 28, attracting crowds eager to enjoy the all-action fair. Elevate85, a star flyer-style ride, is one of many new attractions added by fairground operator Crow Events in recent years. Alongside high-octane rides, traditional favourites like the carousel, dodgems, children's rides, and sideshows will also return.
