Dua Lipa and Callum Turner have celebrated their second wedding ceremony at the Villa Valguarnera in Sicily, following a registry office marriage in London last weekend. The three-day event, reportedly costing £1 million, has been marked by stringent security measures.
Security at the villa, known for its appearance in the TV series White Lotus, includes metal barriers on side roads, a no-drone zone, and police presence. A group of pensioners sitting near the entrance were asked to move on. The only view of guests is when their cars slow to enter the gates.
Local chef Tony Lo Coco from restaurant I Pupi is catering with traditional Sicilian food. The ceremony is set in the gardens with a semi-circle of chairs and a gazebo, where the couple will exchange vows that have no legal standing. Dinner will be held behind the villa.
Friday's welcome party included guests such as Mark Ronson, Charli XCX, and Donatella Versace. Dua wore a Bottega Veneta dress. A source described the wedding as 'the coolest wedding, and so glam'.
To appease locals, Dua has reportedly paid £5,000 to residents in apartments overlooking areas used for extra parking. The couple aims for an 'epic' celebration.
