Paper Tiger reunites Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver for the first time since Marriage Story. Directed by James Gray, the crime thriller revolves around two brothers trying to make fast money, only to become entangled in a scheme that turns out to be too good to be true. The synopsis reads: 'As they try to navigate an ever-more dangerous world of corruption and violence, they find themselves and their family brutally terrorized by the Russian Mafiya. Their bond begins to fray, and betrayal becomes all too possible.' Demi has enjoyed a frenetic week of screenings and parties as the French Riviera hosts the annual film festival. She is on the jury alongside director Chloé Zhao and actor Stellan Skarsgård, with South Korean filmmaker Park Chan-wook as president. Other jurors include Ruth Negga, Laura Wandel, Diego Céspedes, Isaach De Bankolé, and Paul Laverty.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Demi said she felt 'tremendously honoured' to be at Cannes. 'It's such a beautiful experience to be surrounded by cinema and the love of cinema. I feel like a little kid getting to play a grown-up.' She also shared her thoughts on AI in the movie industry, urging acceptance: 'AI is here, so to fight it is a battle we will lose. We should find ways to work with it. What it can never replace is true art, which comes from the soul and spirit.'
