Netflix has added the period crime thriller 'Bandit' to its library, and the film has quickly climbed the streaming service's charts. As of Monday, 2nd March, it sits in fourth place among the most-watched new additions, outperforming titles such as 'KPop Demon Hunters', 'Cellar Door', and 'The Last Voyage of the Demeter'.

Directed by Allan Ungar, 'Bandit' boasts a 74 percent Rotten Tomatoes score from critics and an 80 percent audience rating. The film stars Josh Duhamel as Gilbert Galvan Jr., a career criminal who escapes from a Michigan prison in the 1980s and starts a new life in Canada. Masquerading as a security analyst, he robs 59 banks and jewellery stores, earning the nickname 'The Flying Bandit'.

Mel Gibson plays loan shark Tommy Kay, who aids Galvan's increasingly ambitious heists, while Elisha Cuthbert portrays Andrea, a social worker unaware of Galvan's criminal activities. The film is based on a true story and has captivated viewers since its initial release in 2022.
