Christian Wilkins Dazzles in Silver at The Devil Wears Prada 2 Premiere in Sydney
Christian Wilkins Shines at Prada 2 Premiere in Sydney

Christian Wilkins knows how to make a red carpet entrance. The model and socialite stepped out on Tuesday night for the premiere of The Devil Wears Prada 2 in Sydney, and he ensured all eyes were on him.

The 30-year-old commanded attention in a slinky, silver top that hung off his buff form and exposed his muscular chest. He added a pair of fashionably frayed trousers that sat over his favourite designer hoof boots. The actor ensured that his makeup matched his bold style, opting for a metallic, smoky eyeshadow with glittering gem embellishments, and had his very sculpted chin on display. For accessories, Christian chose layered mixed-metal necklaces in silver and gold, as well as a diamond bracelet and silver thumb rings. He finished his look with some pink lip gloss and wore his blonde hair down around his shoulders.

In an exclusive interview, Christian shared details on his beauty and workout regimen. To achieve the perfect blowout, he swears by the Shark FlexStyle, which he uses 'all the time'. 'It's really rare that you get to work with brands that you genuinely love,' he said. As for how he keeps his hair healthy, Christian narrows it down to genetics. 'People ask me all the time what I do and I do take supplements and collagen and stuff like that, but I think it's really genetics [and Shark beauty],' he said with a wink.

When it comes to his flawless face, the actor and LGBTQIA+ activist relies on a simple skincare routine using collagen peptides and beef tallow. 'In the States it's huge at the moment. People are using beef tallow for their healthcare, for their skincare,' he explained. Tallow, a new viral skincare product, is a type of fat rendered from cow meat or mutton suet.

It's no surprise Christian's physical splendour is down to a passion for fitness and a love of lifting weights. He shared a new outlook on life after turning 30: 'My body has changed quite a bit. I used to find it very easy to be slender. Now, I'm putting on a bit more muscle and I'm liking coming into my new body and being really proud of that. I'm finding my own identity as I get older.'

Expressing his identity is at the forefront of who Christian is. From hosting podcast Radical Fashionism with Andy Kelly to playing with non-binary styles on the red carpet, he uses fashion to say things that can often be hard to put into words. However, the son of TV veteran Richard Wilkins has copped criticism from trolls. He shared the overwhelming sadness he feels when seeing negative comments, not for himself, but for his community. 'Some of the messages make me sad, but less because they're attacking me and more because I see that this kind of hatred is out there. I think that it's important to keep going out there and expressing yourself how you want to be. Someone that might not necessarily feel so secure can use you as an example.'
