The BBC has released the first look at series two of Celebrity Traitors, with Claudia Winkleman bringing a host of stars to a church for a dramatic teaser trailer.
The 30-second clip, released on Thursday (August 27), opens with Claudia standing in front of floral lettering that spells out 'RIP VIP' (rest in peace, very important people). Addressing a worried-looking line-up of new contestants, she says: "A moment of silence for the celebrities gathered today. Thoughts and prayers."
Star-Studded Line-Up Revealed
Among those featured in the trailer are Welsh actor Michael Sheen, who sits next to Love Island presenter Maya Jama. Also in attendance are Miranda Hart, comedian Rob Beckett and The Last Of Us star Bella Ramsey, who appears to be holding in laughter.
As Claudia slowly walks down the aisle of the church, she looks into the camera and cheekily says: "Who doesn't love a dramatic exit?"
Returning Format and Prize Pot
Series one of The Celebrity Traitors debuted on BBC iPlayer and BBC One in October last year, drawing an average audience of 14.9 million viewers across its run, with 15.4 million tuning in to watch the finale. It was hailed as the top entertainment episode across the whole market since 2016.
The new series will see 21 celebrities face one another for the chance to win a cash prize of up to £100,000 for a charity of their choice. Set in a Scottish castle in the Highlands, the game follows contestants, the majority of whom are known as faithfuls, as they try to seek out the murderous traitors among them, who kill off players in the middle of the night.

Other stars that appear in the trailer include Richard E Grant, comedian Romesh Ranganathan, EastEnders' Ross Kemp, Coronation Street star Julie Hesmondhalgh and Scottish actress Sharon Rooney. Singer-songwriter James Blunt, former Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Industry actress Myha'la Herrold are also getting in on the action.
Joining them are a number of comedians including James Acaster, Joe Lycett and Joanne McNally. Completing the line-up is American supermodel Jerry Hall, broadcaster and mathematician Professor Hannah Fry, broadcaster Amol Rajan, content creator King Kenny and actor Sebastian Croft.
