Radio veteran Bianca Dye has announced she will be taking a fill-in role as co-host of KIIS FM's breakfast show. The 52-year-old former Golden Bachelor star will be at the mic alongside regular anchor Mike E from May 18.
Bianca is the latest guest presenter to take on the coveted brekkie slot at the network following the cancellation of The Kyle and Jackie O Show in March. Since the exit of shock jocks Kyle Sandilands and Jackie 'O' Henderson, KIIS FM breakfast has seen Abbie Chatfield, Channel 10's Georgie Tunny, and producer Jaimee 'Mayo' Blazquez fill in as guest presenters.
Bianca, who is based on the Gold Coast, took to Instagram on Friday to confirm her new gig. 'A little radio update,' the funny woman began. 'I'm heading to Sydney to fill in for a stint on The Kyle & Jackie O Show on KIIS breakfast in Melbourne & Sydney...' She continued, 'After 32 years in broadcasting – 14 in breakfast radio – it feels really bloody cool to be back in a studio doing what I LOVE most, even if it is just keeping the seat warm for the next guest host.'
Elsewhere in her post, Bianca gave a nod to her family in Melbourne and even paid tribute to Kyle and Jackie O and the previous fill-in presenters. 'What's surreal is that, despite all these years in radio (almost 8 of those doing mornings & drivetime in Sydney at NOVA), I've actually never been on air in my hometown of Melbourne before!?' she wrote. 'I'm under noooo illusion about the very big shoes to fill here with the incredibly talented women who've filled in recently – who all brought something unique, wonderful, vulnerable & fabulous and nobody could ever 'replace' KJ...'
Bianca signed off her post with the comment, 'Have a cracking weekend (I'm off to set 58 alarms for Monday morning at 4am).' She included a snap of herself smiling broadly, dressed in a sparkly jacket and a black T-shirt with the words, '50% glitter, 50% anxiety'.
KIIS FM stalwart and drive time host Kent 'Smallzy' Small posted a welcome message to Bianca, writing, 'See you next week.' Other well-wishers included Over the Back Fence podcast hosts Di Edwards and Nicola Dale, who messaged, 'Yahoooooo – Big Congratulations @biancadye – you're the best and we'll be listening.' Sunrise regular Amanda Rose gushed, 'This is great news, x.'
Bianca has mixed her three-decade career in radio with stints on TV, including working as an entertainment reporter on Mornings with Kerri-Anne Kennerley in the mid to late Noughties. She also appeared on Beauty and the Beast, Thank God You're Here, Ready Steady Cook, Celebrity Dog School, Celebrity Singing Bee and Australia's Brainiest. However, Bianca was most successful in radio, hosting The Nitemix Across Australia in the late 1990s and becoming a foundation presenter at Nova 96.9 in Sydney. Alongside various other gigs, Bianca has also been a breakfast presenter at i98FM, 92.5 Gold FM, 97.3 FM and, most recently, Sea FM 90.9. Sadly, her Bianca, Ben & Lakey breakfast show on Sea FM was axed in October 2023. In 2025, Bianca was a fan favourite on Nine's dating show The Golden Bachelor.
