Amanda Owen, the 48-year-old Yorkshire Shepherdess, has spoken candidly about her separation from husband Clive Owen, 68, describing it as a 'sad time' for the family. The couple, who starred in Channel 5's Our Yorkshire Farm, announced their divorce last June after 20 years of marriage.
In an interview with RadioTimes, Amanda shared two simple facts about their split: 'If he thought I was brilliant, and I thought he was brilliant, then we wouldn't have separated.' She acknowledged that the pressures of life contributed to their decision, but emphasised their focus on co-parenting their nine children.
Despite the separation, the pair appeared together on a Zoom call, with Amanda joking that it was her 'cunning plan' to prevent Clive from accusing her of saying anything awful about him. She added, 'He's not smitten with me, are you, Clive?' to which he reportedly rolled his eyes.
Amanda and Clive met in 1996, married in 2000, and have nine children: Raven, 21; Reuben, 19; Miles, 16; Edith, 14; Violet, 12; Sidney, 11; Annas, 9; Clemmy, 7; and Nancy, 6. They continue to work together on their farm in Ravenseat, Upper Swaledale, North Yorkshire.
