Amanda Bynes sensationally announced on Tuesday that she is having a set of gold teeth installed to replace her veneers. The 40-year-old revealed in December that she had shed 28lbs with the assistance of Ozempic, and has continued to lose weight in the intervening months.
Recent Style Changes
In April, the former child star swapped out her previously platinum locks for raven hair, although she has since decided to go back to blonde. She performed a similar volte-face on her eyebrows, which had been dyed various dark colors for years before she turned them a natural shade of light brown last month, only to change her mind and make them black again.
Bynes unveiled another change to her appearance on her Insta Stories this week, informing the public of her plans to acquire 'gold teeth soon on my bottom side.' The She's the Man star crowed: 'I'm so excited. I'm going to a dentist in Beverly Hills that I know and trust and does an amazing job.'
Reason for Gold Teeth
She explained that she is undergoing the procedure 'because my veneers that I have, they grey very easily or turn yellow because of the material they're made out of.' In her video breaking the news of her forthcoming dental work, Bynes stood on a sidewalk with her shirt hoisted up and her arms pulled out of its sleeves, such that she was able to show off her trimmed-down midriff.
The Sydney White star, who has Jewish heritage on her mother's side, captioned the clip with a menorah emoji and the phrase: 'STANDING ON BUSINESS.'
Weight Loss Journey
In December the Easy A actress proudly informed her followers on social media that she used to weigh 180lbs but had 'lost 28lbs on ozempic!' Posting an image of herself, she said she was 'down to 152lbs,' adding: 'I know I still look big but this photo is really inspiring to me!'
She had announced last June that she was 'going on Ozempic,' amid the craze of weight loss injectables sweeping the entertainment industry. Bynes declared herself 'so excited' and explained that she hoped 'to get down to like 130, which would be awesome so I look better in paparazzi pictures.'
By November, she revealed: 'I've lost 20 pounds so far. I'm so excited about that, to be honest. Also, I want to lose about 50 more pounds.' Speaking to fans via her Insta Stories, she specified that she was '163 now,' noting she 'actually shot up on the Ozempic pill, shot up to 180 from 173. So I was able to lose twenty pounds from 180 and now I'm down to 163 on the Ozempic injection.'
Bynes, who now has a boyfriend called Zachary Khan, shared that the injectable was 'working' and she was 'trying to lose more weight just to feel skinny and cute.' She had explained in 2024 that depression caused her to gain 20lbs, divulging that her ultimate goal was to return to her teenage weight of 110lbs.
Other Cosmetic Procedures
The Easy A actress had lip fillers installed last August and in 2023 confirmed she had gotten excess skin surgically taken off her eyelids. She referred to the eyelid surgery - which is known as a blepharoplasty - as 'one of the best things I could have ever done for my self-confidence.'
Among the many recent changes she has made to her appearance was a tattoo she had applied last May of the Roman numeral X on one of her fingers, honoring her 10-year 'best friend anniversary' with her close pal Dylan, who got matching ink.
