Aimee Lou Wood is reportedly set to play Jane Eyre in a new BBC adaptation of Charlotte Brontë's novel, with fans already asking who will portray Mr Rochester.
The White Lotus and Sex Education star was first linked to the role earlier this year. Deadline now reports that the BBC is joining the Working Title production, serving as both developer and broadcaster-financier, according to the Mirror.
Fans demand Rochester casting
Viewers have expressed excitement over Wood's casting, with one Reddit user posting: "Gosh I am dying to know who will play Rochester!" Another wrote: "OMG I can’t wait to see who they cast for Mr Rochester!! My favourite book ever."
