Zoe Tapper is back on screens in the BBC's latest drama I, Jack Wright, playing Georgia Wright opposite John Simm. The murder mystery series originally debuted on U&Alibi in April 2025 and has now been acquired by the BBC, bringing it to a wider audience.
Zoe Tapper's Career
With over 20 years in film and television, Tapper secured her first role just a week out of drama school in Stage Beauty opposite Rupert Everett and Claire Danes. She is best known for playing Cleo Morey in ITV's Grace, alongside John Simm. Other notable roles include Katy Sutcliffe in Liar and Ellen Love in Mr Selfridge. She has also appeared in Netflix's The One, Rules of The Game, Nightflyers, Safe House, and Survivors.
Husband Oliver Dimsdale
Off-screen, Tapper is married to actor Oliver Dimsdale, known for playing Daniel Marlowe in Grantchester from 2016 to 2026 and the Prince of Wales in Downton Abbey. His other credits include Pierre in The Last Czars, Peter Eaton in The Murders at White House Farm, and Dr Felix Quinn in Harley Street. He also appeared in Mr Selfridge and the BBC's He Knew He Was Right.
Family Life
Tapper and Dimsdale married in 2008 and have two children. They keep their family life private, but in a 2023 appearance on the White Wine Question Time podcast, Tapper discussed whether their children might become actors. She said: "There's this slightly funny sensibility sometimes when people say to me in regards to my children, 'ooh two actors as parents, are you worried they're going to want to go into the profession?' And I'm like 'no I'm not worried at all!' If that's what they want to do I'm with them every single step of the way because I love it."
