Zoe Ball Addresses Face Lift Rumors and Reveals Invisalign Treatment
Zoe Ball Denies Face Lift, Reveals Invisalign Treatment

Zoe Ball has set the record straight about her appearance after being inundated with messages from concerned fans. The BBC Radio 2 star addressed speculation about whether she intends to undergo a face lift, clarifying that her earlier comments were a joke.

Zoe Ball Denies Face Lift Plans

Last month, the presenter joked that she had contemplated having a face lift should she become the new host of Strictly Come Dancing. However, it was later revealed that she was unsuccessful in obtaining the role. Instead, Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe, and Johannes Radebe will take over the positions previously held by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.

Speaking on a recent episode of her Dig It podcast with Jo Whiley, the 55-year-old confirmed that she has dismissed the idea of having a face lift. She stated, "Do you remember I said, 'No face lift', which was a joke by the way because loads of people keep getting in touch saying, 'Don't have a face lift'." She added, "I'm like, 'It was actually a joke, I'm not going to get a face lift'."

Jokes About Face Lift Procedure

Zoe joked about the procedure, saying, "They take your ears off, that's what they do! I don't want them to take my ears off and yank it up." However, she teased, "Although, never say never."

Reveals Invisalign Treatment

While she has ruled out a face lift, Zoe has made another alteration to her appearance. She disclosed that she has recently begun wearing Invisalign aligners on her lower teeth to straighten them. Invisalign is a treatment that progressively straightens teeth using a sequence of transparent, detachable aligners.

"I've just had mine fitted," she told her co-star. She explained how she is managing with the aligners: "It's alright actually, I haven't lost it so far, I haven't left it anywhere. It's tricky to get on and off at the beginning, they're quite rigid but I've got used to it." She added, "I'm definitely eating and drinking less because you just can't be doing with the taking it out and brushing your teeth and brushing it and putting it back in."

Zoe noted that the aligners do not affect her speech too badly: "It's just the bottom ones at the moment and it doesn't affect my speech too badly."

Reaction to Strictly Snub

Zoe had previously confessed she experienced "seven stages of grief and rejection" upon discovering she had not been selected as one of the new Strictly Come Dancing presenters. Regarded as a leading contender for the position, the BBC Radio 2 presenter enjoyed substantial backing from supporters, primarily owing to her history with the programme and broadcasting expertise.

She made her debut on Strictly as a competitor alongside Ian Waite in 2005 before subsequently hosting Strictly: It Takes Two for ten years. Upon learning who had landed the role, prior to the BBC's official announcement, Zoe offered reassurance to supporters that the show was "in safe hands" with its new "fabulous" hosts.

The BBC has already started revealing the celebrities scheduled to participate in this year's series. Those confirmed thus far include EastEnders actress Lacey Turner, Love Island champion Dani Dyer, and vocalist Delta Goodrem.
