Zac Efron surprises Dancing with the Stars audience as he supports brother Dylan

Zac Efron, best known for his roles in High School Musical and The Greatest Showman, made a surprise appearance in the audience at the semi-finals of Dancing with the Stars, much to the delight of fans. The actor was spotted alongside his sister Olivia, cheering on their brother Dylan Efron, who is competing in the ABC show with professional dancer Daniella Karagach.

Dylan, born in February 1992, is four and a half years younger than Zac. The pair share a close bond, both personally and professionally. Dylan has worked as a production coordinator on films such as American Sniper and Ready Player One, and served as a producer on Zac's Emmy-winning Netflix documentary series Down to Earth with Zac Efron. The brothers also fronted the YouTube series Off the Grid in 2019.

Earlier in the Dancing with the Stars season, Dylan performed an emotional tribute to his younger sister Olivia, dancing to "Rewrite the Stars" from The Greatest Showman. In a video introduction, he said: "I wasn't expecting to be a big brother, but immediately I was inseparable from her. Now, being able to dance to 'Rewrite the Stars,' this is a nod to my brother. Zac's always taken care of me and he did things that were so selfless. I wanna be that to Olivia."

Olivia, born on Christmas Day 2019, is the first child of David Efron and his current wife Jenny. Despite the 28-year age gap between her and her next oldest brother, the siblings are said to be very close. The five-year-old briefly joined Dylan on stage during the routine, impressing viewers with her dancing. One commenter remarked: "She pointed her toe and straightened her leg on that first lift like rent was due."

The Efron family also includes Henry, who was born after Olivia. In a birthday tribute to Zac, Dylan shared a picture of the four siblings, writing: "I know exactly the type of big brother I want to be for Olivia and Henry because you were that brother to me." Dylan also documented a trip to a theme park for Henry's birthday, where he jokingly promised the front row of a ride would not get wet – only for Henry to be drenched.

Zac has frequently shared sweet moments with his siblings on social media, including reading to Olivia and playing with her at the beach. His appearance at the Dancing with the Stars semi-finals was clearly a proud moment for the family, with fans thrilled to see the actor supporting his brother on the dance floor.
