Yasmin Evans announces pregnancy with first child

BBC Radio 1 star Yasmin Evans has announced she is pregnant with her first child. The 35-year-old broadcaster, known for presenting on Radio 1Xtra and hosting on Heart Radio since 2022, shared the news on Instagram on Friday evening.

Baby bump photos

Yasmin posted a series of photographs showing her growing baby bump, dressed in a white two-piece outfit and holding sunflowers. She wrote in the caption: "My husband took these photos of us, in our garden at home. It's my deepest honour to have been chosen every time. A little rainbow created from our season. Sending love to those on this journey, no words are deep enough. And for all all your words & love, thank you. Love, MUVVA"

Celebrity congratulations

Friends and colleagues were quick to congratulate her. Emmerdale's Katie Hill wrote "Oh my goodness!! Congratulations!" while Oti Mabuse, former Strictly professional and Loose Women panellist, commented "Congratulations" with a red heart emoji. Celebrity Big Brother winner David Potts said "OMG YASMINNNN!!! Congratulations my gorgeous girl," and Brooke Vincent, known for Coronation Street and Hollyoaks, reacted "No! I'm crying," to which Yasmin replied "hehe my girl [hug emoji]".
