Fritz, the No. 6 seed at Wimbledon, met Riddle on the celebrity dating app Raya in June 2020, and they quickly became one of tennis's most high-profile couples. The pair ended their six-year romance in April, just before Wimbledon. Fritz is set to face Alexander Bublik in the fourth round on Monday evening, without Riddle cheering him on.
Fritz has remained silent about the breakup, but Riddle has addressed it candidly. "When public relationships end, it's standard to do some sort of Instagram statement or video, and I tried to write that a few times, and I was just like, 'This is not me,'" Riddle explained. "We're on good terms, so I wanted to make it more lighthearted than breakups usually are online."

Riddle also expressed satisfaction that she focused on her own career while traveling with Fritz. "Say, hypothetically, I fully supported him and his career and didn't make my own money and didn't develop my own brand, what would I be doing now? Would I be back in Minnesota? If you don't have that autonomy and you don't make your own money and you want to leave [a relationship]...I just hope any WAG or woman can make that choice."
Riddle's posts come as a stark contrast to her previous role as a supportive partner, and she seems to be embracing her newfound single status.
