William 'no longer recognises' Harry, says royal expert
Prince William has been described as the "biggest realist" within the Royal Family and is said to "no longer recognise" Prince Harry, as the Duke of Sussex's recent security battle leaves him "close to tears". The 41-year-old Harry travelled to the UK earlier this week to attend a series of events for the Invictus Games, including the one-year countdown event for next year's Games in Birmingham today.
Harry still in touch with King Charles but not William
Although Harry is said to still be on speaking terms with King Charles, he is thought to have not spoken to his older brother for some time. The pair have been involved in a bitter feud for a number of years, which escalated further after Harry's exit from royal life in 2020. It has not been reported that William has completely detached from his brother, who is set to be joined by his wife, Meghan Markle, in the UK later this week.
Security denial led to family plans changing
Meghan was previously set to join Harry earlier this week, along with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. However, Harry's request for police protection was denied, which then saw the decision for Meghan to join Harry with the children retracted. It was, however, revealed on Thursday, that Meghan is now set to join Harry this week – with the possibility of Archie and Lilibet joining her later.
Royal expert: Harry was 'deeply emotional'
Speaking to Fox News Digital, Kinsey Schofield, host of YouTube's "Kinsey Schofield Unfiltered", said: "My understanding is that Harry was deeply emotional. [For the royal family], there is exhaustion. The King is frustrated, Prince William is detached, and the broader family has very little appetite for another round of Sussex drama."
William views decisions through lens of protecting monarchy
Discussing William, she added: "He's the future of the monarchy, so he views every decision through the lens of protecting the institution he will inherit. That naturally makes him more cautious than sentimental. He is a good judge of character, and I'm told he no longer recognizes Prince Harry."
Harry appeared at the one-year countdown Invictus Games event today, with Meghan having made the decision not to attend alongside her husband.
